16 Premier League players at risk of suspension – including key Aston Villa, Wolves, Liverpool, Arsenal & Man

The complete list of Premier League players who are teetering on the brink of a possible one-game suspension.
This weekend marks the halfway point of the 2023–24 Premier League season, after which players will go for their last international break of the year.

On Saturday, Wolves will play at home against Tottenham Hotspur, who played Chelsea in an exciting London Derby on Monday night and lost 4-1. Aston Villa’s match at Villa Park against Fulham is set for Sunday, November 12, since they are slated to play in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night.

Both teams will be keen to finish the latest block of fixtures with a victory, ahead of what is a busy period with some midweek games to come in early December, as well as the festive period with some games played in quick succession. Squad availability is going to be key, but some players are at risk of missing their next match should they pick up a yellow card this weekend.

The rules are that any player that earns five bookings in the first 19 Premier League games of the campaign will serve a one-match ban. Yellow cards from the EFL Cup (Carabao Cup) or the FA Cup are not carried over. Matchday 19 of the Premier League is on Boxing Day, and so there is still several rounds of fixtures to get through to avoid a ban

This season, a number of players have already been left out of games. Mario Lemina, for example, was sent off against Aston Villa in the West Midlands Derby at Molineux. Although no Villa player has been sent off in the league thus far, their players could yet receive a suspension.

Flip through to view every Premier League player who is just one match away from a suspension. Some players have already received five yellow cards, but they received two in the same game. If they receive a single yellow card, they will be suspended in addition to possibly receiving a second ban. The disciplinary table from talkSPORT serves as the basis for all information.
