Neil Warnock delivers Leicester City verdict as he writes off promotion

According to LeicestershireLive, Neil Warnock has expressed his confidence in Leicester City’s chances of securing promotion back to the Premier League. Currently leading the Championship with 39 points, the Foxes have 13 wins from 16 matches this season, sharing the top spot with Ipswich Town.

In contrast, Leeds United, relegated from the Premier League last season, trails behind in third place by eight points. Despite defeating Leicester 1-0 earlier this month, Warnock dismisses their prospects of automatic promotion. He believes that Leicester and Ipswich will secure the top two spots, with Leeds, managed by Daniel Farke, likely ending up in the play-offs.

Warnock shared his views on talkSPORT, stating, “I think those two teams might just edge Leeds. Although Daniel (Farke) has really got them firing now.” This assessment comes after Leicester’s recent defeat against Middlesbrough, contributing to a tighter race at the top of the Championship table.
