Alan Nixon makes West Brom prediction ahead of Leicester City

Alan Nixon suggests that West Brom has a good chance of securing victory against Leicester City this weekend, especially if they manage to score an early goal. Currently sitting fifth in the Championship, the Baggies continued their strong momentum with a 1-0 win at Cardiff City.

Leicester, on the other hand, has faced a dip in form, gathering only four points from their last 12 available. Despite this, they maintain an eight-point lead over third-placed Leeds United. Nixon, responding to a prediction inquiry on Twitter, expressed his belief that West Brom looked formidable in their recent win at Cardiff and suggested that the Baggies could secure a victory if they score first, leaning towards a potential 2-1 outcome.

The upcoming Midlands derby appears less challenging now compared to a month ago, with West Brom displaying excellent form under manager Carlos Corberan. The team has won five of their last six games, with their only setback being a 2-1 loss to Southampton. Notably, West Brom has been solid defensively at The Hawthorns, keeping a clean sheet in five of their last six home games.

Despite recent history indicating a favor towards Leicester in their past league meetings, with the Foxes winning five in a row at The Hawthorns, the current form of West Brom suggests they have a strong chance of prevailing against the league leaders.

In a separate prediction, Sky Sports pundit David Prutton labeled the upcoming match as a “struggle.”
