SHOCKING NEWS : Wolves player remains banned from training ground after surprise incident

Wolves manager Gary O’Neil has confirmed that Jonny Otto will continue to be excluded from the squad following a training ground incident at Compton Park. Otto, who joined Wolves in 2018 from Atletico Madrid, was a regular under former manager Nuno Espirito Santo but has seen limited playing time recently, making just one Premier League appearance this season. O’Neil revealed that Jonny won’t be part of the squad for upcoming games, citing a training ground incident that the club is dealing with.

Gary O’Neil did not provide details about the incident but emphasized that the club is working to shift in a certain direction and that handling such matters is crucial. The exclusion of Jonny Otto adds uncertainty to his future at Molineux, and O’Neil stated that when or if he becomes available again, the club will inform everyone.

Regarding training ground incidents, O’Neil acknowledged that they can be healthy for a team’s fight and spirit, but the specific incident involving Jonny Otto has been dealt with by the club. In a separate incident, Wolves’ sporting director Matt Hobbs received a one-match suspension and a £4,000 fine from the FA for calling referee Anthony Taylor “absolutely f****** useless” after Wolves’ 2-2 draw with Newcastle United. Hobbs made the comment following a controversial penalty decision in the game.

Wolves’ recent matches have been marked by VAR controversies, and O’Neil expressed frustration with the decisions going against his team. He mentioned that VAR is causing a big problem and suggested that it might be turning him against the technology. Despite the challenges, Wolves will face Arsenal in their next fixture at the Emirates Stadium.
