Welsh international winger Sorba Thomas, recognized for his outstanding performance, has been chosen as the Player of the Month for November 2023 by the Blue & White Members. The award, determined through voting by the Blue & White Members Club, also acknowledged the noteworthy contributions of runners-up Michał Helik and Ben Jackson.
Sorba Thomas secured the accolade following a remarkable series of performances throughout November, where he played the full 90 minutes in all four of Huddersfield Town’s fixtures. His efforts contributed to the team’s success in securing an away victory against Sunderland and draws against Watford and Southampton, with a single loss to Hull City.
Displaying a resurgence in the form that marked his breakout in the 2021/22 season, the Welsh winger showcased excellence in both offensive and defensive aspects for the Terriers. His commendable work rate, dedication to the team’s cause, and leadership qualities with younger players were particularly highlighted.
Playing a pivotal role in Huddersfield Town’s recent positive streak, which saw only one defeat in five Sky Bet Championship fixtures, Sorba Thomas garnered the admiration of the supporters who voted him as their Player of the Month. The remaining votes favored central defender Michał Helik and wide man Ben Jackson.

This marks Sorba Thomas’s first Player of the Month victory in the 2023/24 season, having previously been a runner-up twice, losing out to Michał Helik on both occasions. The award will be presented to Sorba by Jane Hanson from Gomersal and junior member Spencer Harrison from Birstall at the upcoming home fixture against Bristol City, with both individuals receiving a commemorative photograph.
It’s noteworthy that the funds generated from the £2-a-week contributions by Blue and White members directly support the Huddersfield Town Academy. For those interested in more information or joining, contact 01484 960 697, email [email protected], or visit the website to join online.
