Crystal Palace fans will love what Yannick Bolasie has just posted about Brighton

Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie took a humorous jab at Brighton in response to former footballer Michael Owen’s claim that Brighton is everybody’s favorite second team. Owen’s comment suggested a positive view of Brighton, but Bolasie, a former Crystal Palace player, didn’t agree.

Responding to a fanpage’s statement that “Michael Owen does not speak for me,” Bolasie added humor to the conversation by saying, “nor me” in agreement. The exchange took place on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

Despite leaving Crystal Palace seven years ago, Bolasie remains connected to the club and its fanbase. The DR Congo international, known for his contributions during his time at Selhurst Park, especially in the Championship Play-Off Semi-Final, continues to engage with supporters.

Bolasie made 144 appearances for Crystal Palace, scoring 13 goals and providing 30 assists. After leaving Palace, he had a stint at Everton but faced challenges, including a serious knee injury that impacted his Premier League career. Bolasie had loan spells at clubs like Aston Villa, Anderlecht, Sporting CP, and Middlesbrough before joining Çaykur Rizespor in August 2021.

In a surprising move, Bolasie joined Swansea in November on a deal running until the end of the 2023/24 season, returning to the Championship where his professional journey began. The hope is that Bolasie can enjoy his time at Swansea and become a fan favorite at the Liberty Stadium this season.
