JUST IN : Daniel Farke is now looking for a low-cost left-back solution.

Despite the fact that the primary transfer window has already closed, Leeds could still make a move.

According to writer Ben Jacobs, Leeds United could now find a cost-effective answer to their left-back problem despite the transfer market being closed at Elland Road.

What is the most recent Leeds United news?
News Ethan Ampadu, a summer arrival from Chelsea, has made an immediate impression at Elland Road and has been named Socios Player of the Month.

Speaking to the Whites’ official website, the Wales international expressed his delight at winning the award and how he has started life in Yorkshire, stating: “It was never my aim to come here and win awards, it was more to settle in and see how I could help the team. I really appreciate the fans for all of their support and hopefully by them voting for me, it shows I’m going someway to repaying them for that support and I hope to do even more. Everyone here, the staff, players and all the fans, have made it really easy for me to settle in, so it’s been an easy and smooth transition and I’ve really enjoyed it.”

I'm Looking Forward To - Leeds United Boss Daniel Farke Makes Transfers Admission

Leeds United have taken just five points from their opening six matches in the Sky Bet Championship so far and face a tough test away to adversaries Millwall on Sunday at The Den.

Former player Paul Robinson told MOT Leeds News that the game against Millwall is one that Daniel Farke must win. “But, it’s always difficult – a game at 12 o’clock on a Sunday after the international break, it’s not an ideal time, but it’s a game that Leeds will need to win,” Robinson said. Farke’s position is not yet under jeopardy. Yes, they’ve had a shaky start to the season, but there are reasons for that: injuries, his coming in late, and so on. If they are still in 15th place after the next international break, questions will be raised. Unfortunately, that is the nature of the beast.

According to a recent report from The Athletic, Rangers considered making a summer bid for Leeds United midfielder Jamie Shackleton; but, no attempt to entice the 23-year-old away from Elland Road materialized.

What has Ben Jacobs said regarding Leeds United’s left-back situation?
Journalist Jacobs suggested that JUcould be inclined to look at a left-back considering Junior Firpo’s recent injury concerns.

“I don’t expect Leeds to panic sign and get cover for cover’s sake,” Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT. Anyone looking at what Leeds has on paper can see that they still need to strengthen in the left-back position. As a result, if a free agent becomes available, they will relocate because it is low-risk and cost-effective. But, for now, I don’t believe there are many targets that are appropriate for Leeds. There’s no purpose in simply adding more bodies if they’re not going to help the football team. So Firpo has the left-back position, and Leeds will only hope he remains fit.”

Firpo appears to be on the verge of returning to first-team action; however, it is uncertain whether he will be available for selection against Millwall this weekend.

According to Leeds Live, Whites manager Farke has confirmed that both Firpo and Sam Byram, who has deputized at left-back this season, are on the verge of returning to the first-team fold, saying earlier this month: “I also have to say we’ve got Junior Firpo, we’ve got Sam Byram who was outstanding there (at left-back).” So I’m hoping that both will be back at the end of the international break.”It appears that both of them have been rehabilitated.”

Leeds United fans will be keen for both to return and will be hoping that their team can climb the Sky Bet Championship league after a disappointing start to 2023/24.
