Rangers’ latest cash injection at Ibrox has more than tripled – Finance Expert

Football finance expert Dr. Daniel Plumley has asserted that Rangers significantly increased their cash windfall from the Europa League after their dramatic victory over Real Betis in the final group stage match. The win allowed Rangers to secure first place in the group, providing them with financial benefits.

Plumley explained that had Rangers finished in third place, they would have entered the Conference League knockouts, earning a participation fee of £300,000. However, the late victory propelled them to first place in the group, leading to a substantial increase in their earnings.

By winning the group and advancing to the final 16 of the Europa League, Rangers instantly tripled their financial gain, bringing in £1.03 million. Plumley broke down the numbers based on prize money distribution, emphasizing the significance of the financial boost for the club.
