Nathan MacKinnon’s Record-Breaking 2023 for the Avalanche

In 2023, Nathan MacKinnon had an outstanding year, despite the Colorado Avalanche’s first-round exit in the playoffs. MacKinnon’s performance stood out not only within his team but also across the league, showcasing his dominance in various offensive categories. As the team entered the 2023-24 season, MacKinnon continued his exceptional form, setting personal and team records along the way.

One notable achievement was MacKinnon’s goal-scoring prowess, finishing second in the league with 53 goals in 2023. He also led in game-winning goals, securing 11 on the year. In December, he set a record for the most points by an Avalanche player in a single calendar month.

Moreover, MacKinnon climbed the all-time points ladder in Avalanche history, surpassing Milan Hejduk for fourth place. While he won’t catch third-place Michel Goulet this season, MacKinnon’s consistent elite-level play positions him as a key figure in the team’s pursuit of another Stanley Cup.
