JJ Watt, Burnley’s co-owner and former NFL great, reacted on social media to a fan who questioned his decision to wear a Clarets hat on TV.
What happened?
Watt received a snapshot from a follower after appearing on ESPN’s midday show The Pat McAfee Show, in which he was questioned about wearing a Burnley hat on TV. The follower accused him of wearing a hat with the trademark ‘The all-seeing eye’, which is a religious icon from Egyptian mythology, among other depictions.

Watt reproduced the follower’s remark on X, laying the blame on them for the claim while giving a number of facts regarding the English team.

The Clarets return to action on Wednesday, January 31, against Pep Guardiola and Manchester City. Clarets manager Vincent Kompany will return to his previous team, hoping to pull off an extraordinary upset.
