Fabio Silva’s father has claimed that the striker may have already played his final game for Wolves, stating that he ‘needs to settle down someplace’.
Silva left Wolves last month to join the Scottish giants, hoping to earn regular game time.
It is his third loan move since joining Wolves for £35.6 million in the summer of 2020, following stints with Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven last season.
Silva has made four appearances for Rangers, and he scored his first goal in a 3-0 victory over Livingston.
Silva’s father suggests he could return to the club next season.

He had a couple opportunities early in the season, but the youngster faded as Matheus Cunha, Pedro Neto, and Hwang Hee-chan took over in attack.
Silva simply had to leave, and he now has an excellent opportunity at Ibrox.
It’s been a good start for him, and the player’s father, Jorge, has hinted that Silva may not play for Wolves again.
He said (as reported by the Daily Record): “We have a long contract with Wolves, but Fabio needs to settle down someplace. Is it possible that Fabio will continue at Rangers next season if he performs well, even on loan? I believe so, certainly. “In four months, many things can happen.”But I hope Rangers can win the championship this season, which would be fantastic for both the club and Fabio. Fabio has a strong ambition to play in the Champions League. He is currently in need of professional continuity. If the Rangers are pleased with him, and the final say will undoubtedly go to the Wolves, why not?
My advise to Fabio is to give his all for this enormous club, do everything he can to help his team and coach, and make the fans happy. If everyone is happy at the end of the season, why can’t he return to the Rangers?”
Wolves should try to sell.
A lot can happen between now and the summer, and it will be quite intriguing to watch where Fabio Silva stands later this year.
He has had a difficult time at Molineux, and it is unclear whether he will stay there in the long run.
Last summer, there were reports that Silva intended to quit the club, with his agency suggesting as much. However, Silva has officially stated that he will give his all for Wolves while he is here. He eventually stayed, thanks in great part to sporting director Matt Hobbs.
His father is right; he requires continuity. But that appears to be a long way off at Wolves.
The club should be open to any bids for him this summer. It will be three years since he first signed for £35.6 million, and it will be difficult to make a compelling case for him to stay if a good permanent bid comes in.
