How’s former West Brom player faring at Burnley following his summer sale?

Dara O’Shea, a former club captain, was sold by West Brom to Burnley in the summer.
The Republic of Ireland international spent eight years with West Brom after joining as a young player in 2015. Burnley reportedly paid £7 million for his services.

After earning 20 caps for the Republic of Ireland, O’Shea went on to play 107 times for the Baggies.

In an effort to balance the books, West Brom was partly forced into selling him during the club’s turbulent summer.

O’Shea was the only player who could have left, earning his old team a respectable transfer price in the process.

How is he doing at Burnley, then?

Since then, O’Shea has played for Burnley four times in total, three of them in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup.

The Clarets have gotten off to a terrible start this year, dropping all three of their initial Premier League games and falling to the bottom of the standings while giving up 11 goals.

Last month, O’Shea discussed his new manager Kompany, calling the former Manchester City player a genius and expressing his enjoyment of working with the Belgian.

Burnley and O’Shea have had a difficult start thus far; O’Shea has one of the worst average match ratings among the Burnley players.
