According to manager Michael Appleton, Charlton Athletic’s important player will miss the forthcoming match

Nathan Asiimwe may miss Charlton Athletic’s upcoming match, according to manager Michael Appleton.
Charlton Athletic return to action against Wycombe Wanderers at The Valley on Saturday, in their new manager’s first home game.

Asiimwe, 18, missed their most recent away game against Stevenage due to a quad injury. The Addicks tied 1-1, thanks to a late equalizer by Corey Blackett-Taylor.

According to London News Online, Appleton issued this update following the game: “He picked it up (the injury) just before I came into the building.” After a closer examination, they discovered that it was more than simply a strain. I don’t think it’s significant enough to keep him out for too long, maybe another 10 days or two weeks.”

As Appleton mentioned, Asiimwe could be out for another 10 to two weeks, which isn’t ideal. However, James Abankwah provides adequate support in his position for Charlton while he recovers.

Charlton’s most recent injury
As Appleton mentioned, Asiimwe could be out for an additional 10 to two weeks, which isn’t ideal. However, Charlton have decent support in his position from James Abankwah as he heals.

The adolescent rose through the League One club’s academy ranks and was a fixture at various youth levels before getting into the senior squad.

He made his debut at the age of 17 in a Papa John’s Trophy game away at Plymouth Argyle in November last year, and he made his league debut on the final day of last season against Cheltenham Town.

Asiimwe was significantly involved during pre-season and has subsequently had plenty of game time this season, appearing in six games across all competitions.

The prodigy signed his first professional contract with the London club in the summer and has a promising future in the game.

Charlton won’t want to rush him back in, especially at such a young age, and will carefully manage his current injury. The Addicks are sat in 17th place in the third tier table and will be eager to hit some form under Appleton ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
