The crucial player for Wolverhampton Wanderers has finally recovered from recent knee surgery.

According to sources in Portugal, Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Gonçalo Guedes has recovered from his most recent knee surgery.

According to Radio Renascença, the winger, who returned to Benfica on loan in the summer, is fit to participate in the Eagles’ match against RB Salzburg on Wednesday.

This is the Lisbon club’s first appearance in the Champions League this season, so it appears they are sure Guedes can already perform at his best, despite the lengthy rehabilitation period.
According to Radio Renascença, the footballer has been out for four months due to a knee injury sustained at the close of last season.

During a lengthy controversy in which Benfica and Wolves refused to declare the loan renewal, it was even speculated that he may wind up in Spain, but the teams eventually reached an agreement.

Guedes had already been loaned to the Portuguese side in January, but a string of ailments prevented him from making much of an impression.

With him healthy at the start of the season, Wolves will have stronger arguments for a sale next year.
