Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, has more selection decisions to make this weekend. As Newcastle United aim to capitalise on a solid run of victories, Eddie Howe takes his team to Sheffield United on Sunday with an increasingly familiar selection problem. The Magpies’ head coach is not one to change his lineup much, but he will be conscious of the tough schedule.

After making five changes for the 1-0 win over Brentford last weekend, Sandro Tonali, Alexander Isak, and Jacob Murphy came into the side for the goalless draw with AC Milan at the San Siro on Tuesday night. And, with Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, Howe has plenty to think about.

Callum Wilson, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes, and Miguel Almiron all came on as second-half substitutes in the Champions League and will all be competing for a starting spot at Bramall Lane. Wilson has three goals and put forth a terrific performance against the Bees Howe has also hinted at playing time for youngsters Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall, but this may be more likely in the midweek cup match against Pep Guardiola’s men.
