Dr. Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has joined us as an exclusive columnist. He’ll be sharing his thoughts on Aston Villa’s injury situation every week…
According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos is anticipated to return to duty far sooner than three months.
The injury specialist responded to the Brazilian center-back’s recent injury setback, which has kept him out since the beginning of September.
Unai Emery stated at the time that he does not believe the injury is significant and that the 30-year-old should be back in action shortly.
Dr. Brar, a physical therapist and sports scientist, informed Villa News about his injury and likely return
“Not serious can mean a multitude of things depending on who you ask and thigh injury can also mean a multitude of things depending on who you ask. “It’s hard for me to comment on that severity without more information.
“In terms of misdiagnosis, there’s always a chance but I wouldn’t expect that at this level.
“The worst case would be a grade 3 rupture which is 3+ months out but highly unlikely based on what we’ve heard thus far.“
When fit, the experienced centre-back is expected to be among the first names on the team sheet for the Villans.
However, he missed the majority of last season through injury and already has been out for a few weeks this time around.
Unai Emery will be relieved that it’s not too serious a concern and he will be looking for him back soon.
In other Aston Villa news, a senior attacker is now a doubt for the upcoming games after he suffered a Grade 3 muscle tear.
