Aston villa confirm another key player current deal runs until June 2025,

Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa believes it is critical for the club that Ollie Watkins signs a new contract extension.
The 27-year-old’s current contract expires in June 2025, although there has been rumors for some time that talks are taking place, but the two parties have yet to reach an agreement on new terms. While it’s not too worrying at this point because Watkins still has some time left on his current contract, the closer we get to Watkins’ final year, the more concerned we’ll become.

“I think it’s really important for the club (he signs a new contract).” He scores goals for us and wins games for us.

Watkins has now scored 50 goals and provided 16 assists in 127 appearances for Villa since joining us from Brentford in 2020, and he has taken his game to the next level, particularly under Unai Emery, and is undoubtedly one of our most influential players. Emery has often lauded Watkins’ commitment and effort in training, as well as his effect in games, and it’s evident that everyone at Villa wants him to commit and sign a new contract. With Konsa emphasizing that point this week, we hope to hear formal word on the subject soon.
