Newcastle United will be missing a number of key players ahead of PSG match tonight.

Newcastle United will be missing a number of key players when they meet Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League tonight.

Due to an injury, Sven Botman will miss the game, hence Jamaal Lascelles will start at centre-back. Callum Wilson, on the other hand, has admitted that the game has come too soon for him.

They will be huge omissions for Newcastle on what promises to be an unforgettable night at St James’ Park.

PSG is in town, and Kylian Mbappe is about to play on our hallowed ground. It is a historic occasion, and this group of Newcastle players has the opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime.

However, as Newcastle and PSG prepare to face off in the Champions League,.

Hugo Ekitike will not play in Newcastle’s match against PSG.
Luis Enrique has a lot of attacking options tonight, but one forward is unavailable: Hugo Ekitike.

This is due to the fact that the 21-year-old was not named to PSG’s Champions League squad at the start of the season.

He will miss the trip to St James’ Park, which he could have called home if he hadn’t made a huge error in the transfer window.

Newcastle were hoping to sign Ekitike for the 2022 season. He was a January transfer target, but he turned down a deadline-day switch to Tyneside. The following summer, the Magpies rekindled their interest, and actually agreed a fee worth £25million plus add-ons to sign the youngsters from Reims. However, the two parties were unable to agree personal terms, forcing Newcastle to walk away from the deal. PSG then swooped in and signed him on loan, before the deal became permanent earlier this year for £25.5million. But while he is a PSG player, his time there has been an absolute disaster – so much so that he nearly left in the summer and has since been omitted from the UCL squad.
