Left-back for Brighton & Hove Albion Pervis Estupinan will be out for an extended period of time. Brighton and Hove Albion head coach Roberto De Zerbi revealed Pervis Estupinan will miss tomorrow night’s Europa League Group B match against Marseille – and possibly the following month – due to a’muscular issue.’
Estupinan, 25, has been an important player of this Brighton squad, possibly the only natural left defender. The Ecuador international was substituted at halftime during Aston Villa’s 6-1 defeat, and it’s now evident that it was an injury rather than a tactical decision.
“Estupinan is injured and won’t be able to play for a long time,” De Zerbi explained. We’re losing an essential player in him. We have [Tariq] Lamptey and Igor [Julio] who can play in that position.” The Italian added, according to Andy Naylor of the Athletic, “one month, more or less.” Muscle damage.
