The most recent Nottingham Forest transfer news involves Watford manager Valerian Ismael discussing the summer window link to Nottingham Forest’s attacker, Emmanuel Dennis, who is also a former player of Watford.
Valerian Ismael revealed that he declined the opportunity to sign Emmanuel Dennis during the summer transfer window. Dennis was one of the players who departed the City Ground as part of Nottingham Forest’s squad reorganization. He subsequently joined Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir on a season-long loan, just over a year after signing with Forest Emmanuel Dennis
who is 25 years old, had initially joined Nottingham Forest from Watford in August 2022. Ismael stated that there was a chance for Dennis to return to Vicarage Road, but he turned down the opportunity.
Dennis has made four league appearances for Basaksehir so far, with two of those being in the starting lineup, but he has yet to score a goal. During his time at Forest in the previous season, he mainly served as a substitute and struggled to make a significant impact, making 16 of his 25 appearances coming off the bench. He did manage to score two goals, against Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
Emmanuel Dennis is still under contract with Nottingham Forest, although the exact length of his contract was not disclosed when he initially signed, it was reported to be a four-year deal.
Nottingham Forest reinforced their attacking options during the summer by acquiring Divock Origi, as well as Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi. However, goals have still been hard to come by for Steve Cooper’s team early in the season.
