Wrexham player did ‘Siuuuu’ celebration in front of Cristiano Ronaldo – leaving team-mates speechless

Jake Hyde has confirmed that Aaron Hayden did the famous ‘Siuuuu’ celebration in front of Cristiano Ronaldo when scoring for Wrexham in a friendly.

In the summer of 2022, Welsh football club Wrexham played against a Premier League team in a private match. Christian Eriksen made his debut for the opposing team, Manchester United, and scored a remarkable free-kick. However, Wrexham took an early lead within the first minute when Hayden scored. Ronaldo, who was still part of Manchester United at the time, witnessed the goal. Aaron celebrated by imitating Ronaldo’s famous “Siuuuuu!” celebration. This was a memorable moment for everyone involved in the game.

In the summer of 2022, Wrexham, a Welsh football team, faced Premier League opposition in a closed-door match. The match marked Christian Eriksen’s first appearance for Manchester United, during which he scored an impressive free-kick. However, it was Wrexham who took the lead within the opening 60 seconds of the game when Hayden found the back of the net.

During a discussion on the RobRyanRed Podcast, there was a question about whether Hayden celebrated his goal like Cristiano Ronaldo, who was still a Manchester United player at the time. Hyde confirmed this, stating that Ronaldo was indeed present and witnessed the goal. Aaron, commonly referred to as “Azza,” scored by rising above an opponent during a corner kick and then celebrated by mimicking Ronaldo’s signature “Siuuuuu!” chant. This moment left a lasting impression on everyone who watched the game.

Hyde, who also played in the match, shared his experience of going up against World Cup-winning former France international Raphael Varane when he came on as a substitute. He highlighted the surreal feeling of facing a player of Varane’s caliber and successfully winning a header against him, as Varane later left the field. Despite acknowledging that Manchester United was a superior team, Hyde cherished the opportunity to compete against them in person.

In the summer of 2023, Wrexham faced Manchester United once again in a friendly match played in the United States. Unfortunately, their star striker, Paul Mullin, suffered a punctured lung during the game. The match took place due to the efforts of Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who helped organize Wrexham’s American tour.
