The 16-year-old teenager has permanently relocated to the south coast from Reading as part of an agreement that allowed Under-21s striker Dom Ballard to join the League One side on a season-long loan.
Rohart-Brown has signed a youth contract with Saints and will become a member of the Under-18s squad while continuing his education.
Upon finalizing the signing of this promising young midfielder, academy director Andy Goldie expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled to welcome Thierry and his family to the Academy. Following a thorough evaluation by Jack Chapman, Simon Jones, and our scouting team, Thierry emerged as our top choice due to his adaptability in various midfield roles and his potential for growth. We are eager to support his development in the years ahead. We also extend our gratitude to Mark Bowen and Michael Gilkes at Reading for their unwavering professionalism and support throughout the process.”
Jack Chapman, the new head of academy recruitment for Saints, also chimed in, stating, “From a football standpoint, we believe that Thierry perfectly aligns with our desired player profile moving forward. His overall athleticism, ability to carry the ball, link up play, and his potential for further improvement excite us.”
