Was Sadio Mane inspired by Wrexham? Al-Nassr star completes takeover of lower-league French side Bourges 18

Sadio Mane, the star player of Al-Nassr, has taken over ownership of the French fourth division club Bourges 18, with the announcement made on Wednesday via the club’s official Facebook page. Bourges 18 is currently struggling in the bottom half of Group B in the National 2 League, having won just one of their first seven matches this season.

In a video message upon being unveiled as the club’s new owner, Mane expressed his commitment to the city, stating, “We’ve been working with the city for the past three years. We’re here to nurture and organize the club. The challenge is immense, but with the support of the people of Bourges, I believe we can achieve our goals. I look forward to visiting Bourges very soon.”

 

Mane has been in exceptional form since his move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, with eight goals and two

assists in 16 matches for Al-Nassr. His next match will be against Al-Feiha on Saturday.
