‘Special’ – Amanda Staveley issues Newcastle United message after Man Utd & West Brom wins

Amanda Staveley, co-owner of Newcastle United, expressed her joy and admiration for the club’s success over the weekend, as both the men’s and women’s teams secured 1-0 victories.

Eddie Howe’s men’s team achieved a significant sixth consecutive Premier League victory at St James’ Park against Manchester United. Anthony Gordon’s goal in the 55th minute not only contributed to Newcastle’s rise to sixth in the league table but also marked the team’s third consecutive win over Manchester United, a feat not achieved since 1922.

Shortly thereafter, Becky Langley’s women’s team, also known as the Lady Magpies, maintained their unbeaten start to the season by defeating West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at Kingston Park. Becky Ferguson’s late goal secured the victory and propelled the women’s team to the top of the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division table.

Amanda Staveley took to Instagram to share her excitement and congratulate both teams on their remarkable performances. Staveley expressed her gratitude to the fans for creating a special atmosphere during the matches, emphasizing the unity and spirit of Newcastle United. In her Instagram post, she concluded with a declaration that “We are Newcastle United,” accompanied by the club’s black and white colors.
