Avalanche announcer gives fantastically exasperated call after OT loss to Coyotes

The Colorado Avalanche’s announcer, Marc Moser, expressed disbelief and frustration as his team squandered a significant 4-0 lead to the Arizona Coyotes. Moser, part of the broadcasting duo with Mark Rycroft, has recently gained attention for a viral incident involving Rycroft accidentally drinking from Moser’s spit cup. However, this time, Moser’s call went viral for less amusing reasons.

After dominating with a 4-0 lead, the Avalanche allowed the Coyotes to score four consecutive goals, leading to an overtime showdown. In a shocking turn of events, Jack McBain scored on a rebound, securing a 5-4 victory for the Coyotes and leaving Moser in utter disbelief. His exclamation, “I can’t believe it! You have got to be kidding me! On that play, the Avs fall in overtime to the Coyotes 5 to 4, I’ve seen everything now. Unbelievable!”

Despite the passionate and disheartened call, it’s noted that Moser’s reaction remains within the bounds of professional commentary, unlike some overly biased calls from other sports announcers. Comparatively, Moser handled the loss with more composure than Avalanche goalie Alexandar Georgiev.

Adding a touch of humor and perspective, the article suggests that, in the grand scheme of things, the Avalanche’s situation could be worse—they could have traded for Russell Wilson, injecting a lighthearted note into the narrative.
