Swindon Town are now leading Brentford and Bournemouth in a battle race to sign 17-year-old starlet

Swindon Town offer deal to midfielder amid Brentford and Bournemouth interest

According to a report from FTBL, Swindon Town has extended an offer to 17-year-old Brisbane Roar midfielder Eddie Ince, aiming to secure his services during the January transfer window. The League Two club is eager to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season and views Ince as a potential addition following his successful trial with the team led by Michael Flynn.

In addition to Swindon Town, Brentford has also shown interest in Ince, with the youngster reportedly training with their B team. AFC Bournemouth is closely monitoring his development, presenting Ince with a decision to make regarding his future. While Swindon Town sees him as a promising long-term asset and a valuable addition to their midfield, other clubs, including Brentford in the Premier League, are vying for his signature.

Ince, who has been with Brisbane Roar throughout his career, has progressed through their academy ranks and has been a consistent presence in various youth levels but is yet to make a senior appearance. Despite interest from other clubs, Swindon Town provides a potential opportunity for Ince to secure first-team football at the County Ground, a prospect that might be more challenging at a higher-tier club like Brentford.

The young midfielder, eligible for both England and Japan, most recently represented Australia at the Under-17 level. Bournemouth reportedly spotted him during a school tour in England and continues to monitor his progress alongside other clubs.

Swindon Town, currently facing a challenging run with just one win in their last six matches, suffered a 3-1 defeat to Crawley Town in their recent outing. The potential addition of players like Ince could serve as reinforcements to help revitalize their season.
