According to Jeremy Fowler, the Tennessee Titans will hold an in-person interview with Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn later this week. Quinn will have his second interview with the Titans, having already had a virtual meeting with the team. Quinn’s second interview with the Titans shows he’s a finalist for their head coaching position.
Quinn is a popular leaguewide candidate. He will also have second interviews with the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders later this week. Quinn is almost probably going to obtain a head coaching position.
Quinn is the fourth Titans candidate to have an in-person interview, following former Stanford Cardinals head coach David Shaw, Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, and Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown. Quinn is the third known finalist to receive a second, in-person interview, following Callahan and Brown.
The Titans’ coaching hunt has heated up. It would not be surprising if majority owner Amy Adams Strunk and general manager Ran Carthon named Mike Vrabel’s successor later this week. The Titans may like to formalize a hiring before next week’s Senior Bowl.
In other Titans-related coaching news, Chris Harris, defensive passing game coordinator/cornerbacks coach, is interviewing for the Chicago Bears’ defensive coordinator position. Terrell Williams, an assistant head coach and defensive line coach, will serve as head coach in the Senior Bowl. Defensive coordinator Shane Bowen is also drawing DC interest.
