JUST IN : 5-star quarterback seemed to enjoy his visit to Auburn this weekend

Auburn hosted several highly ranked recruits this weekend, including a 5-star quarterback.
Auburn football recruitment finished great in 2024, and the 2025 class could be even stronger under Hugh Freeze.

As the transfer portal window buzz subsides, the Auburn Tigers and the rest of college football shift their emphasis to recruiting and stressing the 2025 class.

Auburn welcomed 5-star quarterback Julian Lewis to campus this weekend. According to Lewis, Auburn has previously recruited him, but this was his first visit to campus, and he wanted to get to know the coaches and program pursuing him better.

“Yes, I will definitely be back,” Lewis told reporters at the end of his visit. He stated that he will return to the area for 7-on-7 practice and will continue to communicate with the coaching staff. He also mentioned that Auburn had receivers like Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson.

The Carrollton, Georgia outstanding quarterback is listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds and has committed to the USC Trojans. Rivals gives him a 5-star rating, but On3 and 247Sports rate him a 4-star. ESPN does not appear to have released their rankings for the 2025 class.

Auburn will compete with several schools for Lewis. Flipping him from USC will undoubtedly be difficult, but he will also be targeted by Georgia, Alabama, and Florida State, among other schools.

Later on Saturday, Lewis announced on Instagram that he was at the Auburn basketball game. He witnessed an exciting atmosphere when Auburn defeated the Ole Miss Rebels in Neville Arena.
