Stoke City “Desperate” To Sell out £2.5 Million-Rated star in transfer market deadline today

According to the most recent sources, Stoke City are looking to unload some players before tonight’s deadline in order to make room in the budget for new additions.

Steven Schumacher has been the Potters’ head coach since the end of December, but he has only won two of his eight games in charge, against Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham City and bottom-of-the-league Rotherham United.
Schumacher’s team are presently 19th in the Championship league, but are only seven points behind the relegation zone, with a crucial match against Queens Park Rangers coming up in less than two weeks, which could push Stoke closer to the bottom three.

Nonetheless, with the winter window shutting at the end of the day, Stoke City are hoping to conclude some business to bolster the squad ahead of what could be a difficult struggle for survival.
According to TeamTalk, the manager is “desperate” to add pace and quality to his forward line before the transfer window closes, but will need to shed some players before making any new additions.

According to the site, the club has been looking for buyers for some first-team members in order to make place for changes. One of these names is Ryan Mmaee, who arrived from Ferencvaros in the summer for a reputed £3.4 million.

According to Transfermarkt, the 26-year-old’s market worth has since decreased to £2.5 million, although the Belgian has seven goal contributions in 20 appearances for Stoke City, including four and three assists. Mmaee could be on the move again.

Writer’s perspective

When a club lacks money, it always sells its top players. Stoke’s current problem is that they need to make money quickly yet are unable to sell its underperforming stars, which means that their best players may be sacrificed to strengthen elsewhere.

While Mmaee hasn’t been spectacular under Schumacher, scoring only one goal and assisting once since the ex-Plymouth Argyle manager took over, this is still his first season in English football and he might be a great asset to the team in the future. However, if Stoke City has to make a quick buck, moving Mmaee could be the simplest solution.
