West Ham United are reportedly in talks to sign Le Havre centre-back Arouna Sangante on deadline day.

Deadline day has arrived, and West Ham manager David Moyes is still hoping to complete at least one more transfer, with talks now underway to bring Senegalese teenager Sangante to the London Stadium.
The Hammers have struggled throughout the January transfer window, with Kalvin Phillips being the only player to come thus far.

And now, with the clock winding down to tonight’s 11 p.m. deadline, Moyes is making a desperate sprint to recruit more reinforcements.

The 21-year-old has been a standout performer for Le Havre this season, and his impressive displays have been drawing attention from all around the continent.
Sangante has made 1.9 tackles, 2.5 interceptions, 2.9 clearances, and 1.9 successful aerial duels in 16 Ligue 1 matches this season.

Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, the Senegalese prodigy is tremendously strong in the air, but he’s also swift on the ground and tough in the tackle.

Arouna Sangante appears to be perfectly suited to the physicality and fast pace of Premier League play.

And, with West Ham said to be in deadline-day talks to sign the Le Havre centre-back, it may not be long until we learn if he has what it takes to compete at the greatest level in the world’s best league.
