Burnley’s 25-man squad list announced following closure of January transfer window

Burnley’s new 25-man squad has been announced following the close of the January transfer window.
All top-flight clubs must submit fresh squad lists within one week of the window closing.

Only one of Burnley’s three January recruits, Lorenz Assignon, has been named to the 25-man squad. That is because Maxime Esteve and David Fofana are both registered in the Under-21 category.

Under Premier League rules, each squad can have no more than 17 players who do not meet the “Home Grown Player” (HGP) criteria. The remaining players, up to a maximum of 25, must be “Home Grown”.

In addition to the squad limit of 25 players, each club must publish a list of its registered Under-21 players who are eligible.

This category includes James Trafford, Aaron Ramsey, and Wilson Odobert.
