The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not take the major fall back this season that many expected after Tom Brady retired from the league. The Bucs not only won the NFC South for the third consecutive year without Brady, but they also won a playoff game in a landslide and came close to reaching the NFC Championship Game. Not a poor start to the post-Brady era.

The two big players on offense that the Bucs need to keep this summer are Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans, both of whom are set to hit free agency. This season, Mayfield played for his fourth team in three years, but he revitalized his career in Tampa, throwing for 4,044 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 17 games. Evans was as consistent as ever, pulling in 1,255 yards and 13 touchdowns.
If the Buccaneers want to return to the big game, they must ensure that both Evans and Mayfield are back in Tampa by 2024 and beyond. Fortunately, Mayfield states that he wants to come back and “get the band. “Back Together.”
