LATEST NEWS : Colts Safety Julian Blackmon Announces Engagement To Jazz Dancer

Salt Lake City – Julian Blackmon, a former Utah Utes and current Indianapolis Colts safety, confirmed his engagement via a social media post.

The former Layton Lancers standout announced the news on Instagram on Sunday, February 25.

Blackmon is engaged to Tyra Gilmore, a former Utah Jazz dancer.

“Yes, today.” Yes, tomorrow. The pair captioned their image, “Yes forever.”
Gilmore was a part of the Jazz’s 2022-23 dancing team.

Blackmon recently finished his fourth season in the NFL. He spent his entire career with the Colts.

Before his season was cut short by an injury, Blackmon helped the Colts finish 9-8.

He concluded the 2023 season with 88 total tackles and 65 solo.

Prior to his NFL career, Blackmon was a standout player at Layton High School. Following his prep career with the Lancers, the safety attended college football at the University of Utah from 2016 to 2019.
In 48 games with the Utes, Blackmon had 60 total tackles, 41 solo tackles, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, four interceptions, and four pass breakups.
Following his Utah career, the Colts selected Blackmon with the 85th overall choice in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Blackmon finished 2022 with 50 total tackles, 36 solo tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery, one interception, one score, and two pass breakups.
