2 key players who could follow George Dobson out of Charlton Athletic this summer

We look at a few players that could be leaving The Valley this summer.
Charlton Athletic has recently achieved some good outcomes.
And they may have secured enough high-quality signings in January to secure a spot in the third tier for next season, but football isn’t played on paper.
Looking ahead, some players, including George Dobson, could be leaving The Valley this summer.

Dobson is due to join Hungarian club Fehervar FC in July, but he may not be the only player to leave the English city over the summer, with some players doing well and some young talents shining.

Miles Leaburn

We take a look at two more players who could leave the third-tier club.
Leaburn is currently out injured, but given his potential, it would not be surprising if the young attacker left at some point.
As a youth, the 20-year-old tested himself against some tough senior sides. He hopes to return to action before the conclusion of the season and make an impact, either to improve his prospects of starting regularly under Nathan Jones or to put himself in the shop window.

It just seems a matter of time before he transfers to a better level if he can prosper when he returns, and he may even be the subject of summer bids despite the fact that he hasn’t played as much this season as he would have liked.
Also, after hamstring surgery late last year, he should be totally fit and healthy by the summer, so the Addicks should be prepared for offers.

His contract expires in 2025, so selling him in the summer could be a decent option if he isn’t willing to sign an extension.

Terell Thomas

Chelsea and Brentford were previously connected with a move for him.
The defender’s contract expires at the end of the season, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him leave The Valley in the summer.
However, he has recently been one of the first names on the teamsheet, which could lead to a contract extension in London.

Thomas, who was born in London and has previously played for AFC Wimbledon and Sutton United, may be content to stay put after the season ends.

However, his contract condition leaves his future uncertain.

In recent months, he has been linked with moves to Wigan Athletic, Barnsley, Reading, and Blackpool.

His future is absolutely something to keep an eye on, as he may receive contract offers from other teams in the summer if he does not sign a new contract with the Addicks by then.

At 28, he should be at the pinnacle of his career, which should only heighten interest in his signature.
