Tight end Jonnu Smith has officially joined the Dolphins.
Smith’s agreement with Miami was revealed on Thursday, and the team announced the signing on Friday. They did not reveal the details, but it is supposedly a two-year contract worth up to $10 million.
Smith recorded 50 receptions for 582 yards and three scores with the Falcons last season. The catches and receptions were career highs, but Smith was cut for cap concerns as the Falcons’ new head coach, Raheem Morris, takes a different approach.
Smith’s relocation to Miami marks his return to the AFC East, having spent two years in New England before moving to Atlanta. He will partner Durham Smythe at tight end for the Dolphins.
