DONE DEAL : Calgary Stampeders announce the signing of five-foot-ten, 190-pound receiver

The Calgary Stampeders have signed Josh Vann, an American receiver.

The five-foot-ten, 190-pound receiver signed with the Carolina Panthers after going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, and he had one reception for 21 yards and four returns for 43 yards during preseason action. He was waived toward the end of training camp and now plays with the Memphis Showboats in the United Football League.

During his 57 collegiate games at the University of South Carolina, the 24-year-old caught 108 passes for 1,352 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also carried the ball seven times for 73 yards, returned 19 punts for 239 yards, and three kickoffs for 48 yards.

The native of Atlanta, Ga., was named the squad’s offensive MVP in 2021 after leading the team with 43 receptions for 679 yards and five touchdowns.

The Stampeders will host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium on Friday, June 7, to kick off the 2024 regular season.
