The Kansas City Chiefs are officially back-to-back. Tyreek Hill and Tyrann Mathieu, Super Bowl champs and previous stars, were among the first NFL players to comment publicly following the 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Hill congratulated his brothers on their victory on X, saying that it serves as incentive for them in Miami.
In less than an hour, Hill’s post has received over 20K likes and approximately 500K views.
In separate posts, the wide receiver praised Mecole Hardman for his game-winning touchdown reception and the Andy Reid-Patrick Mahomes combination. “Coach Reid & 15 different have been saying it all year,” Hill shouted in his third postgame message.
Hill has voiced his support for the Chiefs after they were eliminated from the playoffs in the Wild Card Round. Having said that, the former Kansas City Chiefs playmaker has previously enraged fans, particularly his reaction to last year’s Super Bowl victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Earlier in the game, Hill posted a cryptic remark about Travis Kelce bumping Reid.
Tyrann Mathieu criticizes Patrick Mahomes Following the Chiefs’ victory over the 49ers in February 2020, the NFL world reacts. Mathieu, like Hill, is a veteran of the Chiefs’ championship roster.
“MAHOMES are cold-blooded!!! “Legendary,” Mathieu said after the 2024 victory.
Similar to Hill, Mathieu’s message went viral on social media. Within the first hour, the former team leader’s answer received over 10,000 likes and 150, 000 views.
Another former Chief, safety Juan Thornhill, reached out to X. “Congrats to my dawgs and all of #chiefskingdom ❤️🫡.”
Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey joined all three in congratulating the winners.
“Sheesh! “Back to back is elite!” He stated. “Pat likes that! By the way, I really enjoyed how [Trent] McDuffie played! It’s wonderful football when you can exhibit your entire skill set!”
Sauce Gardner, a New York Jets cornerback, responded, saying, “I told y’all. The Chiefs always find a way 😂💯, even when the 9ers look better on paper.
“The #Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill and won back-to-back Super Bowls,” NFL insider Ari Meirov said in amazement. Commenting: “Patrick Mahomes and the #Chiefs are the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions since Tom Brady and the [New England] Patriots in 2003-2004.”
Finally, former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III said that “Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are a DYNASTY,” describing them as “inevitable.” Former quarterback Boomer Esiason stated that Mahomes would be a “first-ballot Hall of Famer” if he retired tomorrow.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes wins his third Super Bowl MVP.
Mahomes, who finished the title game with 333 passing yards and 66 yards on the ground, with two touchdowns and an interception, won his third Super Bowl MVP honor and third ring.
With only 123 passing yards at halftime, the Chiefs quarterback dominated the second half and extra session, leading his side to another comeback triumph over the 49ers.
In the end, Mahomes’ QBR of 75.8 and passer rating of 99.3 outperformed San Francisco signal-caller Brock Purdy. The latter achieved a QBR of 69.8 and a passer rating of 89.3.
“I just gotta give God the glory, man,” Mahomes told sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson and CBS’s post-Super Bowl broadcast. “He challenged us to become better. And I’m proud of my guys, man; this is fantastic. “It is legendary.”
That’s an excellent approach to explain what we’re seeing: “Legendary.” Meirov shared Mahomes’ revised resume following Super Bowl No. 3.
“What Patrick Mahomes has done since becoming an NFL starter 6 years ago,” ran the headline. “Three Super Bowls, three Super Bowl MVPs, two NFL MVPs, three All-Pros, six Pro Bowls, two passing touchdown leaders, and an NFL record 5,614 total yards in a single season. You’re witnessing brilliance.”
