Last season, the 26-year-old made 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice as Vincent Kompany’s team won the Championship.
However, with the Clarets’ return to the Premier League, the DR Congo international has failed to appear in a matchday squad this season.
Bastien has been allowed to depart Turf Moor on loan ahead of tonight’s Turkish transfer deadline, despite being named in Burnley’s 25-man squad, which was recently filed following the close of the summer transfer season.
He has now joined Kasimpasa, who are now 12th in the Turkish Super Lig.
“Bastien will now spend the rest of the season with Kasmpaşa S.K.,” the Clarets said in a statement.
“The club wishes Bastien all the best for his loan spell in Turkey.”
Bastien became Kompany’s fifth signing when he joined Turf Moor from Standard Liege in July 2022.
At the time, the midfielder agreed to a three-year deal, with a €800,000 fee negotiated for a player in the final year of his contract in Belgium.
Bastien came through Anderlecht’s junior system before making his first team debut in the Belgian Cup against Mechelen in December 2014, replacing Youri Tielemans.
The 26-year-old spent time on loan with Avellino before joining Serie A club Chievo Verona for €2.5 million in June 2018.
Burnley currently has 24’senior’ players registered for the 2023/24 Premier League season as a result of Bastien’s departure.
