Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback, took to X to share his sentiments following his team’s terrible AFC Championship loss.
Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens teammates’ once-promising 2023-24 season came to an end on Sunday afternoon with a humiliating loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, despite playing in front of their home supporters in Baltimore. Jackson and the Ravens offense struggled to find a rhythm against a feared Chiefs defense, appearing like a shadow of the club that dominated the NFL for much of the regular season.
Following the game, Jackson took to X, the social networking platform formerly known as Twitter, to voice his feelings about the loss and thank Ravens supporters for their support throughout the campaign.
“I’m Proud of all my brothers we was the 8-9 Ravens but fell A game short to the Former champs hats Off to them,” Jackson stated in an email. …”#Wegonnabeback&Wayyybetter #TotherealFlocknation we thank yall.”
As previously stated, Jackson chose an inconvenient time to play perhaps his least productive game of the season. Although Jackson produced several highlight reel plays, including an acrobatic evasion of the Chiefs’ defense that resulted in a touchdown pass as well as a pass that he miraculously ended up completing to himself, he also made several crushing mistakes, the most notable of which was a backbreaking interception thrown into triple coverage in the fourth quarter with the Ravens driving.
Of course, Lamar Jackson is still a young quarterback who will have plenty of time to recover and lead the franchise back to this level, if not higher, next year.
