The Baltimore Ravens must still be reeling from their loss in the AFC Championship Game against the eventual champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Ravens entered the 2023 NFL Playoffs as the betting favorites to win Super Bowl LVIII, but fell short at home against the Chiefs.
Baltimore’s attack was the buzz of the regular season thanks to the improvements made by offensive coordinator Todd Monken, but the team’s true strength was its defense.
However, the squad may need to refill some depth and talent, as numerous free agents are about to enter the market.
Safety Geno Stone was productive in 2023, but he noted that a return to the NFL Network is not guaranteed.
“At the end of the day, Baltimore’s always home but business is business,” he remarked. “All I want is to be somewhere where I am valued and wanted. And for me to be a starter or whatever it is, I simply want my value to be present.”
In 2020, Stone spent his first season with the Ravens and the Houston Texans before returning to Baltimore.
He went on to lead the NFL in interceptions at safety in 2023, making him an under-the-radar addition for clubs looking to improve their secondary.
Although Baltimore would undoubtedly like to keep him, he may be out of their budget, forcing them to pick a replacement.
