The 3 Swindon Town players who may not play for the club again

Swindon Town are currently in League Two’s no man’s land, with both relegation and promotion looking doubtful.
Swindon Town’s major focus will most likely be on performance in the improbable event that they make the play-offs. They are now 18th in the table, nine points below the top seven, but they will almost likely be looking ahead to the summer transfer window.

The Robins are set to see a number of players go at the conclusion of the season, with several having already played their final game for the club.

Here are three players who may fit this group…

ToAdeloyemi

Tomi Adeloye, who was out of contract in the summer and is now on loan at Partick Thistle, appears to have played his final game for Swindon.

The 28-year-old has scored six goals in the Scottish Championship while on loan, and he has already made more appearances for Thistle than he did for Robins. Having stated that, it appears that he will soon leave for free.

Tom Clayton
Clayton arrived from Liverpool in 2022, and his contract will expire this year. He made 32 appearances for Swindon Town previous season, but has only three this season.

The teenage centre-back has only started once in three appearances, getting substituted after receiving a yellow card. It has not turned out as either party had intended, and it now appears that he will leave this summer, possibly without appearing again.

Reece Devine
Similarly to Clayton, Devine joined the Robins on a two-year contract in 2022, coming from Manchester United. He made only two appearances last season and has not played at all this season.

The 22-year-old left-back is surplus to needs at the County Ground, and his performance in a 1-1 League Two tie against Leyton Orient in March 2023 is almost certainly his last for the club.
