Barry Bannan sent a three-word message on social media after being complimented for his kind gesture at Sheffield Wednesday.

Barry Bannan is adored in Yorkshire after nine years with Sheffield Wednesday, and he appears likely to make it a decade with a new deal this summer. The midfielder has not only received recognition for his on-field accomplishments, but also for his efforts with The Children’s Hospital Charity earlier this year.

Bannan raised more than £75,000 for the charity by holding a fundraising event in Sheffield in March, with journalist Joe Crann describing the Owls captain as a ‘great credit’ to the club.

The 34-year-old hasn’t stopped there, but has already been thanked by the

Sheffield Wednesday Ladies team for his most recent gesture.
‘Many thanks to Barry.’
Bannan helped the Ladies players prepare for their encounter against Rotherham United at the New York Stadium yesterday.
