“The Tykes needed their recent victory over Burton Albion to boost confidence in their team. Their ambitions of making the top two have dimmed, but they should still be in the play-offs.
“They will be keen to end this campaign on a high but I can see them struggling at The Valley against a Charlton team who are playing well right now.”

“I can see Barnsley being annoyed with this one. They haven’t had a terrific run of form, and with Charlton Athletic showing to be a lot tougher team under Jones, they can absolutely earn a result here.
“The Tykes have won four in a straight on the road, and they will be determined to make it five as they try to keep their fading top-two aspirations alive.
This should be a competitive game, but I believe Charlton will be pleased with the results. I’ll go for a 1–1 draw.”
